Large yachts have full time crews on board tending to the owners and the vessels needs daily. Personalized service is the cornerstone that a professional in the yachting industry builds his or her career. Yachting Solutions is owned and staffed by professionals that have this background and are able to bring the large yacht service and professionalism philosophy to owners of yachts that may only use their boats seasonally or yachts that, due to their size do not necessarily require full time year round crew.
Many of our customers are summer residents here in Maine, maximizing their leisure time while in Maine is a priority. Whether it be the convenience of having their boat and crew ready and available to facilitate transportation needs, the security of knowing that their craft are maintained all season or the peace of mind in knowing that family and friends can have the use of the family yacht for errands, picnics or destinations, a Yachting Solutions crew program takes the hassle and worry out of those parts of their summer schedules. Often, simply the reassurance that a professional captain will make sure that their family and friends are safe and they can enjoy an evening of entertaining either aboard or at a destination ashore makes the use of a yacht truly enjoyable.
Sometimes it just isn’t fun to take your boat to a destination only to navigate your way back home late at night under less than desirable conditions. Personalized service is what our company is founded on. Most of our customers have experienced the frustration going down to the dock to drive away for an excursion on their boat only to find there are mechanical failures due to lack of maintenance or exercise. Some of our customers have tried seasonal employees caring for their yachts but have become frustrated over time with the lack of professionalism or consistency year to year. Our staff are professional yachtsman, this is what we do, we are not professionals in another arena that also have a captain’s license. Many of our staff work in our maintenance yard during the off season caring for the yachts they staff during the summer months, while others are on our project management team or have seasonal yachting jobs south of Maine during the winter.
Yachting Solutions gives you one point of contact. We guarantee your yacht will be staffed, if one of our crew members has a personal commitment on a scheduled service day, we back fill that position with another one of our professional captains. From year to year the management at Yachting Solutions remains the same and so does much of our crew. We can taylor a seasonal contract that works for your family. Some customers need crew only a few days a week while others would prefer full time service while here in Maine. One of our customers described our serves as “ like Net Jets for yacht crew. You only pay for the services you need when you need them” and in that way it is similar in concept to a fractional ownership program. We are based in Rockport Maine and have the ability to staff and care for yachts from the Boothbay region to Mount Desert Island.
Customers in the Mid Coast region of Maine also find the benefits of our dockage program appealing. We have over 150 feet of dockage available to our customers in Camden harbor; we also provide courtesy vehicles at those facilities. This is especially helpful to those customers who are summer island residences. Below is a partial list of the benefits our program offers.
